Maxika (4) Mask.
Version en Español
Introduction:
Maxika is a repairing composition providing a firming action with instant
lifting, facial moisturizing and energization.
Maxika is the exotic, natural solution to the sagging skin problem -a
moisturizing, smoothing, and reshaping composition against elastosis and
cellular aging processes. Maxika is an original approach to the restoration of a
perfect face. Obtained from natural extracts (Kigelia, Quillaja and Biomedulline),
Maxika is a skin-tightener mask that comes on to the market for helping fight
the harmful effect gravity has upon the skin. Kuhra Vital delivers through
Maxika extraordinary skin-tightening properties and provides the Cosmetics field
a modern alternative for getting an instant visual improvement of the tired
epidermis and wrinkled skin.
The firming and tensor properties of Kigelia combine here with the hydrating and
protective properties of Quillaja and Biomedulline, the energy-booster. Thus
what Maxika from Kuhra Vital has to offer is a synergy of these extracts.
Composition:
Medicine in Africa has largely used certain parts of the Kigelia tree for
treating several illnesses.
The bark is typically used for treating rheumatism, ulcers and wounds. The fruit
is considered a symbol of wealth and the pulp is used for developing the bust
and increase firmness.
The powder of the Quillaja Saponaria Molina bark offers emulsifying and
moistening properties due to the saponosides contained within.
In the pharmaceutical field this extract is used as a treatment for
dermatological skin conditions and as a softening agent.
The Quillaja extract is an excellent hydrating agent rich in flavonoids and
contains reducing sugars such as glucose, galactose, xylose, and rhamnose taking
part in the formation of extra-cellular polysaccharides. Biomedulline is a
cellular composition of exclusively marine origin, highly elastosis-resistant
thanks to an internal network of elastic fibers.
Clinical Studies
A clinical study was carried out to quantitatively assess the tightening effect
of the product (1) Maxika versus (2) a product of other origin 30g/ and (3) a
natural vehicle as the control.
The tightening effect (the capacity to improve the cutaneous firmness) was
studied by measuring the skin resistance during vertical stretching by partial
aspiration of the upper layers.
The tightening and hydrating effects of this botanical marine complex were
studied 45 minutes after application on a female panel exhibiting signs of
cutaneous aging (skin sagging) and compared to those of other tensor product
known for its efficacy.
The products were applied once on 3 specific zones of the face, reserving a
fourth zone as the control (no treatment was applied on the control area).
Measurements were made with a Cutometer SEM 575 (Courage and Khazaka) equipped
with a probe of 2 mm-diameter opening and generating a 400-mbar depression.
The aforesaid measurements were made before treatment (TO) and 45 minutes after
(T45).
The parameter M 1, which refers to the maximum extensibility and yields the
cutaneous firmness in nm, was expressed:
- At each period of the experiment, as an absolute value;
- At T45, when comparing with the values obtained after treatment. The lower M I
is a higher cutaneous firmness is obtained.
Results
The immediate tightening effect of Maxika was measured and compared versus an
equivalent product of different origin.
The experiment was performed on a panel of healthy volunteers aged 49-63 years
who showed sagged skin of the face.
An internal group had been previously studied for determining the optimal
concentration ratio for Kigelia, Quillaja and Biomedulline in Maxika.
By subtracting the variation of the cutaneous firmness caused exclusively by the
treatment with the neutral control (1,9%), the results will clearly show a
significant increment of approximately 18% in favor of the cutaneous firmness
produced by Maxika. As for the other product, the average effect was just 4,5%.
Conclusion
The action of Maxika has been shown to provide:
1. A very good immediate firming effect without the feeling of "tightness"
usually related to the use of film-forming substances.
2. Improvement on skin texture, which becomes firmer and smoothed, toned and
hydrated. The hydrating and firming actions offer their synergistic effects for
a more visible, long-lasting effect.
Maxika comes on to the market as a "new generation" tensor, effective and very
pleasant to use.
Application
Thoroughly clean your face before applying the mask. Let stand until a sensation
of dry and tight skin appears. Use twice a week and before a deep make-up as a
preventive action.
Maxika is a product for all types of skin. Regular use will allow the smoothing
of the skin features with hydration of the upper layers of the epidermis. A
splendorous, younger looking face will result, with all the benefits of
freshness and smoothness for the skin. For a more targeted skin care, 20 to 30%
Maxika (according to the particular skin conditions) will fight stress and signs
of tiredness. The "Lift " effect is immediate and lasts several hours, thus
eliminating minor wrinkles.
